Colorful bracelets help provide clean drinking water in Haiti

Simbi, a company that makes accessories that work equally well on your wrist or in your hair, is coming out with two new products:  Simbi Twill and Simbi Clay bracelets. There's more to these than fashion; the Haitian-based enterprise employs local residents, and uses a portion of its proceeds to install water filtration systems in the country. According to the company website, each Simbi sold creates one gallon of purified water per day.

The clay-bead bracelets, made from Haitian clay, are hand-rolled, baked and painted, and the twill wrist wraps are inspired by Haitian tribal art. Both are expected out in November.
